"YOUR OWN RAINBOW " - HYGROMETER CONCEPT

The humidity of the air in our homes is important for our living environment. This is often adjusted by humidifiers and our ventilation systems. However, some people also use a hygrometer in their homes as an instrument for measuring the humidity.


"Your own rainbow" is a concept made to be a substitute to the classic
hygrometer that tells you about the humidity, in a less precise but
more emotional way, through the experience of a rainbow appearing on
your wall changing in intensity and size based on the humidity in the
surrounding air.


Visible when daylight from your window hits the wall, wet air makes the
appearance of the rainbow intense in colour and size while dry air
makes the rainbow disappear.

 







I am currently thinking a lot about product + space. I like the idea of how a product, a physical object, might blur with the room and rather become an experience that we can reach through our senses.


With this concept I want to share some of my visions of how I believe
the fast development of technologies such as electronic paper in a
near future can be used to enrich our experiences and add new
dimensions to our everyday life.
